Baby is finally HERE!!!
I’m so excited to share my very special birth story of little Ashton Remy 👶🏻 plus a one week update.
Check out my detailed recount of the weeks leading up to and the actual birth of my second son. Video is long, so settle in with a snack and enjoy the story and also footage from the birth to 1 week after birth.
Enjoy and thank you again for your continued support! 😘❤️👶🏻
OMG.... I made it to 40 weeks!!!
See how I have been handling the last couple weeks of pregnancy HERE.
What’s in my hospital bag?
It’s that time to make sure my hospital bag is packed and at the ready. I used the hospital’s list and previous experience to decide what was important (for me) to pack.
Hygiene: Towel, shower products, body lotion, deodorant, dry shampoo (just in case I can’t shower), makeup(concealer/bronzer), chapstick, hair ties, bobby pins, hairbrush, toothbrush/toothpaste, maxi pads, small water aerosol can, Dermoplast (soothing spray for lady parts), disposable underwear, nipple pads, nipple cream, and nipple covers.
Clothing: Labor gown, loose pajama pants (x2), button up pajama shirt(easy for nursing), large underwear (must leave enough room for huge maxi pads), comfy robe, socks, slippers, flip flops(for shower), nursing bra, nursing tank top, one outfit for going home( I chose leggings and a long button up plaid shirt)
For Baby: Towel, pajamas(x4 in size newborn & 0-3 month), swaddle blanket(x2), hat(x2), thin mittens (prevent scratching,x3), socks(x2), thin blanket, heavier blanket, burp cloth (x2), pacifier (try 2 different kinds), going home outfit, snow suit (winter babies)
Extras: Snacks!!!, drinks, camera+charger, phone charger, pillow+feeding pillow, cash (for vending machines), baby book (for hand/footprint), pain reliever meds
I didn't include this but don't forget to remind your partner to pack a bag with clothes, a blanket, and pillow.
•Witch Hazel (preferably alcohol free)
•Aloe Vera gel
•Tin Foil (protect from sticking together)
I bring you the magical padsicle!
So easy to make and incredibly soothing! 😄
I’m gearing up for baby and thinking about afterbirth care...but this can actually apply to any vaginal discomfort, at any time.
Simply open your maxi pad, spray witch hazel (enough to coat but not soak), apply a generous amount of aloe, and wrap back up with tin foil. Place your pads in a ziplock bag and then place in freezer.
Great for after delivery/surgery, thrush, or just plain vaginal discomfort. The witch hazel is antiseptic and the aloe is soothing and healing. Your lady parts will thank me!
Helllllllloooooo 36 weeks!!!!
Hopefully I have a baby this MONTH!!!
